Toronto, Canada  ·

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Mavromatis Institute | Mi hosted a global online event titled “We Love You So Much: Education Edition,” bringing together 253 participants from 21 countries for an interdisciplinary discussion on the evolving role of women in global education.

The event was hosted by Pavlos Mavromatis and Mena Sabo and served as an international forum for educators, researchers, students, and professionals interested in exploring how women continue to shape educational systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and global learning environments.

The discussion focused on the growing importance of interdisciplinary education, emphasizing the integration of perspectives from pedagogy, psychology, technology, and cultural studies. Participants examined how women frequently serve as catalysts for innovation in educational ecosystems, often leading initiatives that prioritize collaboration, inclusivity, and social impact.

“Education today cannot remain confined within disciplinary boundaries,” said Pavlos Mavromatis during the event. “Women are increasingly at the forefront of building bridges between disciplines, institutions, and cultures.”

Participants joined the event from across multiple continents, contributing perspectives on topics including gender equality in educational leadership, digital learning innovation, and the role of global collaboration in shaping the future of education.

The online format allowed the discussion to become a truly global classroom, reflecting a growing trend in which educational dialogue transcends national borders and academic silos.

The event was organized by the Mavromatis Institute | Mi, an organization dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary dialogue, education innovation, and global collaboration through research initiatives and international events.

As International Women’s Day continues to highlight women’s achievements across sectors, “We Love You So Much: Education Edition” demonstrated how women are not only participating in educational systems but actively shaping their future.
